Can a player find more than 1 type cache requirement in a single day?
YES - you may find as many of the requirements as you like in a day, but you can only log one requirement every 24 hours.
Can you use the same cache for multiple requirements? I found a cache today in the woods with a great view. Can I use it for both requirements?
NO - You can only use a particular cache one time.
Does "placing", ie hosting an event cache count? The requirement does say a cache of any type, but I thought I'd ask.
YES - You could count this as either your cache placement requirement or "attend" an event requirement...but NOT both.
Do CITO events count as event caches for your purposes? They are listed as a separate type (with separate icon) on geocaching.com.
YES - This could count as your EVENT requirement as long as it is posted as a CITO event at geocachingcom and more than one cacher attends the event
In regard to the 3 digit match category... Many puzzle caches use coords like this for the false location when posting the cache. Do these qualify for 3 digit finds?
NO - There must be an actual cache at the location with log book - false coordinates would not count.
What if I've already logged ALL the caches in my own area that would qualify?
Then we would suspect that others in your area my have the same problem as well, so perhaps you can all get together and place NEW caches for each other....since you can't log your own caches.
I attended an event today and placed a travel bug. Can I count it as my event cache and my travel bug placement?
No, sorry. You will need to choose which requirement, either the bug placement or the event cache. Not both.
I've heard about a scurvy skeleton crew that is monitoring the game and deleting certain logs. Under what circumstances might our logs be deleted by them?
Good question. One thing is they like to check the cache on gc.com to make sure you have a valid cache log there. If your log is not there you are in jeopardy of deletion. Or if the link doesn't go to the right cache page because of a bad gc number. You can edit your own logs to correct a gc number that has been entered incorrectly. Another cause for deletion is if you use the same cache more than once. Before anybody gets their coin our crew will look at all 16 of your claimed caches to make sure they all have logs on gc.com in the correct date range. They may even check the actual log books in all the caches so beware and step lively so you stay out of trouble.
