Majic of Nine GCGJPT 3/25/2006 6:39:58 AM Loch Cache Woburn MA Came back again. This time it was a clearer (and brighter) walk up to the cache. No bushwacking to get here this time. Last time was at night and I don't want to admit what I walked through to get down to the cache. Every thing is fine, just watch out for paint ball players. Loch Cache
Scipio Pass Cache GCK35J 3/25/2006 7:27:24 AM Shaker-slc Sandy Utah Bushwack east of I-15 in dark. Made many wrong turns and encountered a lot of nasty bushes on my way.
Swope Memorial Cache GCT0W4 3/25/2006 7:52:54 AM Larry739 Olathe KS This is one I found originally after bushwacking up a hill and when I got there I found I could have driven right to it.
Aim High!'s New Ventures GCPR5T 3/25/2006 8:41:21 AM angelgirls17 Woods Cross UT I thought I'd get up early and head out for my first cache. Boy, was I surprised! I had no idea there were so many people out caching since midnight! Its a good thing we can revisit a cache, so I could quickly go back to one of my previous caches. I'd better get back onto the trail for my next cache for tomorrow.
The Nest GCM9D7 3/25/2006 8:58:40 AM ChssAddct South Jordan Utah Redid in order to get Bushwhacking, thinking it wasn't all that much bushwacking, but would do. After getting snagged three times getting to it today, it'll qualify!
Hacking Kauf GCMH33 3/25/2006 2:34:31 PM geojohar Pasadena MD Although I have the scars and fresh scratches to prove I have done worse bushwacking caches, this one still had some of the ever present briars of Maryland to contend with, so it will be logged as such. Here we go! GeoJohar
power line terror GC5B7F 3/25/2006 3:16:26 PM EpiduralGirl Gettysburg PA I'm still finding thorns....ouch.
JR's Lilac Cache GC3242 3/25/2006 3:49:47 PM The NVG Des Moines IA #1

D. B. Cooper Jr. GCGGTR 3/25/2006 6:53:15 PM HoustonControl Baytown Texas Found this cache again while touring the Four Notch Loop trail. Took the correct turn-off this time and avoided a half-mile bushwack.
Windfall GCTZG1 3/25/2006 7:10:38 PM redhedmary Ada MI This probably didn't have to be major bushwhacking but I decided to go off trail with a tenth of a mile still to go. Finally found the cache and got turned around in the woods, so a LONG time of bushwhacking to get back out!
Sudoku Bushwhack GCR0XF 3/25/2006 8:07:24 PM kimbest Salt Lake City Utah Yes I know this is also a puzzle cache. But I solved it a long time ago, so I'm counting it toward the bushwhack

Alapocas Cache GCRBPW 3/26/2006 8:23:54 AM programmer64 Trainer PA
Well no copperheads here this morning as I braved the wet windy and bearly light morning to revist this cache to fullfil requirement #10 for the Hermit Game. If you come in the way I originally did, don't try it in the rain! Those rocks can sure get slippery.
Seemore Peepers GCK43N 3/26/2006 8:33:09 AM Team CoyChev Roseville MI Had to tackle this one again using the right path. It still is nice back there!
Shell Park II GCM1P9 3/26/2006 8:34:18 AM gordy&sassy Marysville WA Caching with the Lajoie5 ringleader always leads to bushwacking and this morning was no exception. One of these days I'll learn and I'll make her follow ME.
Country Woods GCQ9AM 3/26/2006 9:19:25 AM wr_crew Surrey BC Did this cache quite a while ago and thought that the suggested coords were just too far and we can get half the distance if we just bushwack through. We decided this time that we will stick to the path!
Aim High!, For The Sky! GCPR5Y 3/26/2006 10:45:36 AM GBOTS west valley utah This one could have been MUCH easier to get to...
Maria's Plaything GCT0AC 3/26/2006 12:23:29 PM SwimFin Oro Valley AZ Hiked a mile through desert country to find this one under a pile of rocks just north of Oro Valley, AZ. This was a new cache for me and I logged it 25 Mar. Cheers, SwimFin.

Pipeline GC6ABC 3/26/2006 6:12:12 PM bpratt Titusville PA
Stopped to sign the log for this one again so I could clam it for the new Coin Quest Game. I did this cache with my Daughter for the Bushwack part of the game but it could also be used as the Bridge or CITO.
Micro in the Park GCKHH3 3/26/2006 6:28:05 PM e_d_e_ Grayling MI This cache ended up being a lot of bushwacking through picker bushes and snow knee deep. Not the best time to go caching in our area, but for the love of the game we trecked on and found it.
Pipeline GC6ABC 3/26/2006 6:30:28 PM and Daughter Titusville PA Came back with my Dad to find this one so that I can use it as the bushwhack part of the new coin game. The right way in is longer but there really are a lot less thorns.
Hashknife Alpha & Bravo GCMZA1 3/26/2006 8:16:14 PM Daddy Amigo Abilene TX What a hike! The weeds and mosquitos tried to eat us alive!
HashknifeAlpha & Bravo GCMZA1 3/26/2006 8:21:17 PM Buttwieser Abilene TX Somebody needs a weedeater to get to this one!! lol
1 Nephi 11:1 GCT0WZ 3/27/2006 5:10:24 AM PeanutsParents Orem UT GCT0WZ 1 Nephi 11:1 Wow…why did I go that way? I went to the “Y” to fulfill the ½ mile requirement, I could have continued up the trail, but I didn’t I bushwacked it up the face for .15 miles only to find the trail at the top. BunkerDave would have been proud.
Bushwacker GCF2EF 3/27/2006 5:22:17 AM -eleanor- Toledo OH Name says it all!

Birds Have It GCGC1K 3/27/2006 6:23:16 AM Princess Lisa Pittsburgh PA We took the wrong path, and then searched the wrong places first, and then heard a squirel chewing on a nut so we went looking for his location. Once we found the cache, I realized it could have been found a lot easier.
Highlander GCK34R 3/27/2006 6:27:07 AM Chili_Tepin Lehi UT

I shore lurned a good lesson about caching with this here cache. After I hitched my mule, I figured the cache to be a couple hundred feet in front of me... straight through them bushes. At one point, I had my boy on my shoulders because the sticker bushes were over 6 foot tall!

The cache was about 6 feet from the trail that went around the bend. Lesson learned...

Found 26 ~ June 2005
Logged for HQ4G ~ 26 March 2005

Yaba Daba Do GCQXQY 3/27/2006 6:40:17 AM Not So Lost Puppies Mt Horeb WI Stated in the cache description: It’s all down hill and you will have to walk at least 400 feet through brush to find the ammo box. Clearly qualifies as a bushwhack cache :)
Lion Country GCPZ01 3/27/2006 7:38:47 AM Saving Shiloh Frankfort Indiana
Hashknife Alpha & Bravo GCMZA1 3/27/2006 8:21:53 AM Stungbythebug Abilene TX So many thorns! Ouch ouch ouch! Very pretty cache if you are in the Abilene area. Bring good hiking boots, jeans and GLOVES to move the thorns outta your way!
Don’t Get Mugged GCC89A 3/27/2006 8:40:17 AM The_Simpsons West Jordan Utah We got this one while we were walking the Jordan River Parkway this weekend. This cache certainly qualifies for a “Bushwhack!”
Bank Robber's Lament GCK0JA 3/27/2006 10:23:50 AM Team Wiest Erie PA I originally visited this site back on July 20, 2005. Since this was one that I could revisited, I did at lunch. Glad that I remembered my boots.

Quick Detour GCTZ5E 3/27/2006 5:32:21 PM Evils Keepers LaPorte IN
Evergreen's Feast: Appetizer GCJ037 3/27/2006 5:32:55 PM lucyandrickie Kirkland WA The whole series of Evergreen's Feast is one of the classic bushwhack caches in Washington. Luckily I didn't have to do all five to feel like I fulfilled the requirements for this log. I only had to go as far as the third one to truly bushwhack. Lucy had done the whole series a couple of years ago but today Rickie did this one alone.
edge cache GCME3H 3/27/2006 8:12:15 PM 3 Bubbas Calgary Alberta A re-visit to log for the 'coin quest' I took the main trail today instead of the bushwack that I did last time.
Ponder This, Ponder That GCQKTA 3/28/2006 1:23:31 AM koakai Abbotsford BC Canada With the cub scouts out in force, I didn't spend enough time hunting for the right trail, so I would up bushwacking to the main trail and the cache local.
Lair of the Squirrle King GCK4BW 3/28/2006 4:46:58 AM wwcd Alexandria VA BushWhack Cache
Luella Mae MINI cache GCT8YP 3/28/2006 4:50:30 AM FarmBoy&theTeacher Fremont Michigan Deer trails with thorns, mud, swamp areas and lots of fun.
...INCLUDING THE KITCHEN SINK GCQGAP 3/28/2006 6:04:25 AM 9er bears Hamlet IN This one was a real pain! Both times! I thought revisiting would be easier...but didn't prove to be much easier...other than the fact I only fel once this time! **Smile**
SYLVESTER'S STASH GCTYPX 3/28/2006 6:08:21 AM 501_Gang Michigan City Indiana

Slip Away GCMF42 3/28/2006 7:08:39 AM 4OutTheDoor Kalamazoo Michigan Came back to this one using the approach from the top of the hill - still steep going down on rear end but no bushwacking required at all.
The Bamboo Forest GCNJ7Z 3/28/2006 7:23:24 AM west bunch Killeen TX The GPS didn’t like all the bamboo blocking the signal, and I didn’t like the thorns. Now that was some good bushwacking.
D. B. Cooper Jr. GCGGTR 3/28/2006 9:08:37 AM kandrs Dickinson TX Had to bushwhack to get to this puzzle cache.
Lakeview Cache GCJMMQ 3/28/2006 9:13:32 AM Team Kryptos Omaha NE If theres one thing thats worse than bushwacking a cache, its doing it chest high in the rain. Found on a drizzly grey day. Fills # 10.
Cypress Outlook GCNMRY 3/28/2006 9:57:31 AM tx_secsy Katy TX This was a tough one!
Beyond the Spillway GCT50T 3/28/2006 9:58:54 AM Russ and Dana Kansas City Missouri We were at Wyandotte County Lake with Ri and blulady and was glad to visit the spillway again. We took the trail and at about 300' the GPSr showed that the cache was straight up a steep wooded bluff. Gazing upwards we saw a concrete structure (strange place for one) and thought that must be it. So up we climbed. Ri led the way saying "walk THIS way Grandma", "don't touch that poison ivy vine!". "be careful for those stickers" LOL When we reached the top the GPSr said it was STILL 300' (must have been the trees). So we proceeded to walk down the OTHER side of the wooded bluff. blulady spotted the cache first, and then she spotted the trail that would have taken us almost right to it. Needless to say, we took the trail back. You think we would have learned by now that the most direct route is not always the easist. We were laughing about our little adventure, and then I realized that hey - this will qualify as the Hermit's Quest for Gold bushwack requirement. So we picked up another requirement AND got our exercise :) TNLN/Thanks for a great cache!
Orienteering Cache GCJ7NX 3/28/2006 10:48:24 AM westy13 Manchester CT Someday people will get tired of me boasting my ability to make any cache into a bushwhack cache. This one I was up hills and down hills, over rivers, and all the while in the woods.
Swinging Over the River GCQMJV 3/28/2006 10:52:20 AM CacheDetectives LaVale MD I am so glad I didn't have to cross this bridge to get to the cache.
Man Over Board GCR4WR 3/28/2006 2:17:12 PM curious7 East Rutherford NJ No bushwacking this time but I did manage to snag a few thorns anyway. SL
Wintertime Valley View GCV1QX 3/28/2006 2:56:37 PM we3girlsnaguy Wernersville PA Thick thorns for the last few hundred yards. Ripped my jeans!
Cookie Dough Cache GCK68Y 3/28/2006 3:51:42 PM NEONCACHER Trinity Alabama I revisited this cache today as a requirement for Hermits Quest for Gold. Not much of a bushwhack but it is in a stand of bushes.
To The Overlook? GCTENF 3/28/2006 6:33:03 PM Coach Jacks Gang Ashburn VA Bushwacked in, trailed out. :)
Ask James he knows where it is GCKJD8 3/28/2006 6:47:43 PM whatsit Berea Ohio I revisited this one today with a friend. (Hopfully a new cacher) We laughed when I told her how I TOTALLY bushwacked my way through this place last summer!
WOMBAT 3 GCMNVE 3/28/2006 8:02:50 PM TEAM LANDCRUISER Rockingham Western Australia
We had to re visit this cache for the coin quest. But this time we came in from the northern entry gate, this way is a little longer in distance as it's 1.2kms from the truck. You also have to go off track most of the way ... but that was our intention and we expected (hoped to see more wildlife).
There are lots of lizards scurring about and some shingle backs but we didn't spy one snake and we headed out on dusk to see what was around. Surprisingly this time we didn't see any Kangaroos maybe they stay to the southern borders.
Indian Symbols GCQTR0 3/28/2006 8:12:39 PM bocco Waldorf MD We really worked very hard to get to this one – we didn’t know that there was an easy trail that we could have used. We found it on the way back. It would have been a pretty easy cache to find if we hadn’t taken such a hard approach to it.
Swine Liver GCV29K 3/28/2006 9:07:53 PM aharris Alexandria VA An ultimae bushwacking cache!
No Guts, No Glory GCMT1R 3/28/2006 11:23:38 PM Paradise Grain Valley Missouri Bushwhacked for at least an hour, only to find the coords were just enough off to put us on the wrong side of the trail. What an AWESOME cache, though, right down to the end, which ends up in a cave in the ground!
Oak View GCV1RN 3/28/2006 11:37:11 PM Mauison San Jose CA We bushwhacked to this one, picking up about 20 ticks along the way. When we got to the cache, we noticed it was long a fire trail, which we took on the way back down.
Jungle Boogie GCTYF2 3/29/2006 5:12:24 AM Dorkteam6 Sandy Utah Cache is hidden “in the thick” of a large thorny jumble of trees along the Jordan River Trail. To make it worse, most of the ground around the cache is now underwater, so you have to splash into it. I also found the closest thing to quicksand I’ve ever seen when I stepped and instantly sunk up to my knee. Check the pictures.
A Cache runs through it (again)! GCTNFM 3/29/2006 5:28:11 AM WilliamsFamGC Fishers IN Found the original a few weeks ago, and it was nice to be able to park a little closer to this cache. The bushwhacking was relatively light, but when you’re in dress pants and shoes, (my typical caching attire) any kind of bushwhacking can give you fits. Bushwhacked in and out with a fairly quick find.
Lancaster Central Park Bushwack GCF82D 3/29/2006 5:37:29 AM poffgang York PA Huge park, all kinds of activities possible here. Area of the cache must be a popular paintball "battlefield". Sure am glad it was spring or we would have come away w/ lots more briar scratches! Fulfills requirement#10
Summer Home GCREMY 3/29/2006 6:02:51 AM BlondieGirls Findlay Ohio Revisited - a lot easier when the weeds have not grown up yet!
Infernal Affair GCP5H2 3/29/2006 6:53:27 AM pyronorm Herndon VA Definately took the better way in this time!
Big Daddy's Cache GCV1FY 3/29/2006 9:03:23 AM HaleGang Greece New York Bushwacked in, and found a nice four-wheeler trail back out
Cedar Fever GC3898 3/29/2006 9:21:33 AM Doc Geo Paige TX We bushwhacked through a bunch of cedar to get to this cache and then like usual, found an easier way out. Not easy, but easier...
Pike's Peek GCV241 3/29/2006 10:16:02 AM Hugh Foundit Hales Corners WI Like most bushwhack caches you find the path and way out after you find the cache. Such was the case with this cache. I had to cut through cattails and saw grass while soaking both feet to sign the log.
bushwhacker's delight GCT214 3/29/2006 10:40:07 AM RAS&CO white lake michigan lots of fallen trees to climb over for this one. RAS&CO
Würmtal 1 (vormals Großraum-Fotostudio) GCHGG7 3/29/2006 12:02:43 PM Quasselkasper Koenigsbrunn Germany I revisited this Cache today as my first Cache vor the new Game. Wenn I first found this Cache in Nov05, I was searching 30 Minutes in the Bushes just to find the small way after I found the Cache.
Man Vs. Nature GCRH8T 3/29/2006 1:07:23 PM Sinbad7Seas Southington CT There is bushwhacking here and the trail is not maintained well so I got muddied, prickered and bugged up. Gotta love this game!!!
Mini Bush Wacker Delight GC3A03 3/29/2006 1:46:23 PM pharmteam Brookfield WI Revisted cache for this requirement. actually winter is a good time to do this cache
Little Easy GCTXVB 3/29/2006 2:31:42 PM ¿Dóndeestamos? Holland MI Finding the cache may have been easy, but getting there wasn't. Not only was there bushwhacking involved, we also had to traipse through the mud and a big puddle.
Leathermans Circuit - Hamden Paper Road GCV2X7 3/29/2006 3:05:44 PM Firefighter Skippy Wallingford CT Bushwacked @.50 into this as there is no trail to it.
Oak Grove #1 GCRMF1 3/29/2006 3:13:09 PM Mama Cache Grapevine TX I did this one a while back a really funny and hard way. This time I went right to it in flip flops!
A Bird's Sanctuary GC4C89 3/29/2006 3:35:04 PM Peppermill 6-Pack Fairport NY A nice hike but of course we went off trail on the way there, but causght the trail on way back out.
Burkett's Trail GCHGGZ 3/29/2006 5:57:15 PM krispe King George VA Thought I'd start the day with a nice little hike along Burkett's Trail. But at the top of the ridge, I thought I could shortcut the rest of the way -- It was less than 300 feet as the crow flies, and it didn't look "that bad." Guess I forgot that I'm in West Texas! Note to future visitors -- Take the trail! It's not worth a dozen or so scratches and doesn't really save any time either. At least I can claim credit for the Bushwhacking requirement in the Hermit's Quest. (Didn't plan it that way, but I'll take it!) TNLNSL
Mt. Nebo Excursion GC58EA 3/29/2006 6:06:26 PM Deep Creek Local Oakland MD There's no better bushwhack cache than this one! It's a 3 1/2 mile multi all over Mt. Nebo State Park.
280 GCRT9Q 3/29/2006 8:12:14 PM cachnut (aka) oldmil81 Fremont Ne. This was a nice sloppy walk through a marsh, then down a hill through thickets, then a 20 foot climb up a tree to retrieve the cache. What a blast!
Path of Least Resistance GCM8D0 3/29/2006 8:39:56 PM moo and wug smith Zionsville IN Thank heavens we did this in the winter. Take a look at the pictures we put up with the log
The Catherdal Cache GC4603 3/29/2006 10:52:46 PM drdan52000 Rogue River Oregon In April 2003 I started geocaching and on May 5, 2003 the wife and I came in off of cloverlaw drive to get this one, Will we walk about 2 mile to get to this one, we found it but I could see about 300 feet down the trail to and very nice road and a parking area. Today I walked in and out, in about 15 minute, Ha Ha.
No Guts, No Glory GCMT1R 3/29/2006 11:20:10 PM justhis Davie Florida We bushwacked some and then some more. Got all the glory for showing our guts! Fifth of the sixteen for the coin quest game.
Beaverpond cache GC8604 3/30/2006 5:40:13 AM marlin01 Walden New York Only a .4 bushwhack for this one.
People Who Look Like Their Pets. GCHXNR 3/30/2006 6:36:42 AM CachingFam Mechanicsburg Pa Straight bushwak from Wildwood.....took 30 minutes to go .3 miles!!
Tree Graveyard GCKBWF 3/30/2006 7:45:55 AM Johnny Boy and DB Cooper Everett WA Short bushwack, thankfully.
Bet you didn't know this area was here GCRMN27 3/30/2006 7:46:36 AM ladyengineer Cabot AR As most people don't set out to bushwhack while caching, this was the same deal. We where at one cache and saw that the next cache was just south of us. It was across a litte lake but who would of thought that it was also across through a thicket full of briars. See the log for more deals.
Hardtimes Cache GCEF47 3/30/2006 7:54:13 AM hammerjane Asheville NC We didn't read the cache page, so we didn't park at the trailhead. Once we found the closest point we bushwacked straight to it. Later when I was logging the cache, I read where we were supposed to have parked.
