A very satisfying day. We pulled out nearly a dozen tires from the river, a shopping cart, and bags upon bags of bottles.

The Grand Canyon: Surely the most recognizable geological landmark of all. Although this cache was outside the park (no physical caches allowed inside) it does mention the Canyon - which I visited shortly thereafter - in its name.

My first night cache! SO much fun. The company was great, and the cache (and laughs and fumbling in the dark) was a memorable one.

Made a pit stop at this Home Depot cache while working on a mystery series.

Great spot for birdwatchers. While retrieving the cache and signing the log, I struck up a conversation with more than one. Everyone on the trail/boardwalk was busy taking in the natural surroundings and watching the various wildlife.

This one involved almost no bushwhacking, but I of course did it the hard way the first two times I tried for it. Through mountain laurel. Not fun! But, the actual cache was really well done, once I found the correct approach.

Took a break from eating, drinking and being merry at Nikita's Bar and Bistro at the event to grab this cache, placed by my good friend FutilityMistress.

The Devil made me do it. That is, skip out on work this afternoon to go do this cache, which was a really satisfying hike up a big hill. Beautiful area.

Excellent hike on an early spring day. I could hear the spring peepers in the vernal pools.
