Another great coin quest completed! Woohoo! Enjoyed solving the puzzles even though I figured they wouldn't be necessary. Fun to see what the hermit has to say. Turned out exactly as I had guessed it would. Thanks!

As the cache description states you might have to share the area with fishermen. That's because of the nearby fishing hole.

A cache hidden in an open area down a secluded country road. Great view of the sky and no city lights to ruin the view of the nights first stars.

Presque Isle is a recurving sand spit. The neck of the peninsula is attached to the mainland four miles west of downtown Erie. The park creates Presque Isle Bay, a wide and deep harbor for the city of Erie. The bay attracts many pleasure boats and worldwide freighters, making Erie an important Great Lakes shipping port. Geologists believe over time the coastline "floated" as the forces of wind and water carried sand from the neck of the peninsula eastward, depositing it at Gull Point and causing the Gull Point area to grow. This growth and migration of the peninsula occurred rapidly, at least in geologic time. Scientists believe that the peninsula has moved eastward one-half mile per century, although they see smaller changes every year. These changes created an extremely diverse and fragile environment. Because of its diversity, Presque Isle is a natural laboratory for viewing the geologic past and watching geologic forces in motion.
