Fun game. The time thing is a bad idea. How many people actually read the story? Or drove 100 miles round trip to really match up a cache to a requirement? I doubt the top N players actually enjoyed it as much as we did. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks!!

One of several caches out in the Devil's Hopyard. Other caches here could easily fit the 1/2 mile trek and fowl/bird requirements. But we'll wrap up this adventure with El Diablo!

Birds singing everywhere. Woodpecker holes abound. No eagles today, but I'll be back.

Nice little multi in a large park-like setting. Did this cache in the dark. Nice evening; quiet and peaceful. Will come back in the daylight to enjoy the views.

Nice trails on a preserve nestled amongst cow pastures. Could easily have used this for the 1/2 mile requirement, but much more fitting for the Milk & Honey. A Dairy Bar with the same name serves up soft-serve ice cream afew miles up the road on the main drag. Hmmm. Wonder where their dairy comes from?

Wasn't counting on satisifying this requirement with this nasty of a bushwhack. However, I just moved to CT and wasn't sure how the locals rate things. When I saw terrain of 2.5 and noticed the steep rocks with no access trail visible down the path, I went straight up. Oops. MUCH easier walk back to the car! Isn't that always the way?

Right outside of a worthy watering hole. A little too early to partake of the refreshments, but I'll stop by to wash out the trail dust another time. Wish I could have used tonight's Event cache, actually INSIDE a local watering hole, but the requirements stated regular or micro. Oh, well, this one does fine.

Cub Scout Pack 1833 was introduced to geocaching last year and this was their contribution. They stocked the cache with things they liked, scoured the area and found the right spot, and hid the cache. The contents are still following the young boy theme. Definitely, a boy's cache by the boys!

Cache right along bend in the Rappahannock River. The river is currently used as a county boundary. Used years ago for navigation. Ferry across this river was 2 miles downstream.
