4/22/2006 7:07:28 PM 50th Annual Presque Isle Clean Up GCTT0J Our first CITO and final requirement for the game. Thanks for all the fun. Attended 4/22/06. Log: Never thought picking up trash could be so fun! Looks like everyone did a great job...probably the cleanest the Peninsula will be this year! Thanks to our host Erie Scouter & the Presque Isle Park Rangers. Glad to see everyone there. We'll post the pictures we took. Nice to go over the old bridge one last time. Too bad "the deer" knocked down part of that orange fence. This is our first ever CITO Event and our last requirement for the "coin quest" game.
4/21/2006 2:41:35 PM Water-Water Everywhere GCTZHJ Perhaps the largest landmark in the Erie, Pa. area...Presque Isle (Sate Park) Peninsula. This cache is located across the bay of the peninsula where you can see much of the landmark. Found on 4/21/06. Log: Practically spotted this one from the car this time. I have a feeling it was "hidden" by mother nature or perhaps another cacher before our previous DNF. Snoop, you know anything about this? Really liked the container. Took some pics of the Peninsula for the "landmark cache" for the "coin quest" game. Thanks for the cache.
4/20/2006 10:25:37 AM Ants In Your Pants GCV4PW This one is located in the country in a gameland area. You can definitely see the stars here at night. Found this one just as the sun was setting. Found on 4/19/06. Log: Figured out the puzzle a while back. Found this after locating a nearby cache. The sun was just starting to set and I thought this one might qualify as a "Twilight Cache" for the coin quest game as there is a big open field before the cache and you can see the stars at night. The signs near the cache seem to suggest we don't belong here. (No Entry...Authorized Personnel Only...January 1 to August 31st). We took a picture of the signs. Pop-Pop55k & Goonie Nanny said the signs weren't posted when they found it...however it may be related to nearby eagles that have made a nest in the area and are raising some little ones (according the gameland folks). Anyway...we found it where we thought it might be. This one could be nastier in the Spring (wet) and Summer (bugs and thorns). Left a Lord of the Rings toy and took a toy rhino. Had some fun on this one. Thanks for the cache.
4/18/2006 2:23:20 AM Welcome to Lawrence Park GCV5BN This cacche is located on a bridge right above 4-Mile Creek (and a fishing spot...see cache description for details). It was also our 900th find. Found 4/17/06. Log: Out on a short caching run...and hitting a milestone as well. Our 900th find! Took a little bit to narrow it down. Looked twice and then found it. Congrats Mommy TP on your first hide...glad we could make it a milestone find. Thanks for the cache.
4/16/2006 9:20:56 PM Bottle #10: Tiffany GCPGD0 This one is not only appropriately named a "bottle" cache...it is also located right next to several pop machines. And if you don't want a drink from there...it is also located at the entrance of a grocery store where you can go inside and get something else to drink. Found on 4/9/06. Log: Out caching with Goonie Nanny and Pop-Pop55k in Warren after my son's soccer game. Found this one despite all the muggles around the area. Going to use this one as a "coin quest" cache requirement. Thanks for the cache.
4/15/2006 8:51:26 PM What a View! GCV5MM We've found so many "gate caches" since this quest started...but we kept forgetting to take a picture. This picture is not good...but you can see the car parked by the gate. Found on 4/9/06. Log: Out caching with Goonie Nanny and Pop-Pop55k in Warren before my son's soccer game. Wow...that's some view with a nice hike to go with it (puff-puff). Had to call Pirate for some help...my coords put the cache about 30-40ft away from ground zero. Lots of great places to hide it up there. Took geocache button and left 2 colored stones. Took the easy way down. Goonie Nanny took a picture of the car by the gate...going to use it as my "gate cache" for the coin quest game. Hope it doesn't spoil all the fun. Thanks for the cache.
4/14/2006 8:49:39 PM Lion's Lookout GCTM48 This cache is located right next to Edinboro Lake in Edinboro, Pa. Found on 3/29/06. Log: Out on a cache run with Goonie Nanny. Very nice view on a beautiful day. Met a nice muggle reading a book at this one. We explained what we were doing...she seemed interested and wanted to learn more. We found it after a short search. Nice hide. Hey...maybe we even recruited another cacher. Thanks for the cache.
4/13/2006 8:43:33 PM Dery's Bug Hut GCRGVQ Dropped off the "You Saxy Thing" TB that I picked up at a another cache on 3/26/06. Note posted on 4/13/06. Log: Dropping off "You Saxy Thing" TB and using it as a requirement for the "coin quest" game.
4/12/2006 8:32:52 PM The Big Blue Eye Sore GCR0PE Figured this puzzle out while we were in Warren, Pa. on a caching adventure. Pretty much guessed the solution...but it was right. Found 4/9/06. Log: Out caching with Goonie Nanny and Pop-Pop55k in Warren after my son's soccer game. Figured out this puzzle as we were approaching it. My coords took us right to it...but we did call a lifeline to confirm we were in the right area. (Thanks BB63). The big debate was whether or not it was blue or "aqua". Ha ha. Using this cache for a "coin quest" requirement. Thanks for the cache.
4/11/2006 8:09:15 PM BikeBridge Cache GCJREQ The Bike Bridge Cache is on a bridge that crosses Jackson Run creek on the bike/hike trail in North Warren, Pa. Found 4/9/06. Log: Out caching with Goonie Nanny and Pop-Pop55k in Warren before my son's soccer game. Can't believe I missed this one last time. Spotted it this time in a minute. Going to use this cache as a "coin quest" requirement. Thanks for the cache.
4/10/2006 5:53:53 PM In The "Pines" Cache GCPQHD The GC# says it all. Found 4/9/06. Log: Out caching with Goonie Nanny and Pop-Pop55k in Warren, Pa. before my son's soccer game. Recognized the area from the picture as soon as we got there. Called a lifeline to make sure we got it right. (Thanks BB63). Found it quickly after that. Thanks for the cache.
4/2/2006 6:04:57 AM Inside The Old Homestead GCTZC5 Located right across the road from a large farm. You can see it clearly from the cache location which is very close to the road. In fact the day we found it...the farmer was out spreading manure from his barn on the fields. The kids didn't like the smell. Found 3/26/06. Log: Out on a Sunday afternoon cache run with the kids. Nice old area. Always get a kick out of places like this. Traded some items. Thanks for the cache.
3/31/2006 9:47:16 PM Wonder GCV1XF
This cache is located right next to the "Hostess Cake" store...hence the name "Wonder"...where you can fill up on all sorts of cakes, goodies, rolls, bread, etc. We were the FTF on this cache. Found 3/26/06. Log: Grabbed this one after dropping the kids off at Sunday school. Had a pretty good idea where this one was by the name. Thought for sure that Tprints would have got there first. (Thanks for sleeping in!) FTF #29! The coords seemed to take me towards the parking lot. Posted another set that might get you closer. Thanks for the cache.

3/30/2006 8:47:27 PM Tree Hugger GCTJW0 How about a bushwhacking adventure where you lose your pride & joy...a GPS that found you over 850 caches! Found 3/29/06. Log: Out on a cache run with Goonie Nanny. We bushwacked our way to this one from the nearby "Woody Woodpecker's Cache". We used what "trails" we could find. Took a bit of searching...but we found it. Decided to bushwack back to the truck...got almost all the way there and realized my worst nightmare...my GPS was missing. Must've have fallen out in the field or maybe even the woods. We went back and looked...but could find nothing. No way to really tell how we came back or when/where it might have fallen. If anyone finds a Magellen GPS...let me know. Went out tonight and got a new one. I'm going to miss the old one...we found over 850 caches together. I guess it was just time for an up-grade. Thanks for the cache.
3/29/2006 8:32:56 PM NOVA Micro # 33 - Interstate Junction GCTZQ4 Right next to I-90 West. Our 2nd “coin cache”. Found 3/29/06. Log: Out on a cache run with Goonie Nanny. Met a muggle at this one who seemed less than thrilled...but he let us make the find. Hope it stays there. Looks like we can use this cache for the "Hermits Quest For Gold" (Requirement #15). Thanks for the cache
3/28/2006 6:58:26 PM Three Blind Mice GCTZBA N 41° 59.869 W 079° 46.677 Our 1st "coin cache". Found 3/26/06. Log: Out on a Sunday afternoon cache run with the kids. Found it after a short search. Not what we were expecting. My daughter wanted to take one...and I'm like...I don't think so cutie...that is the cache! Thanks for the cache.
