After clarification from the forums, we are using this as our bug cache. Dropped a micro-seaching bug, in this micro-sized cache. This was the perfect cache for it.

The cache is hidden not 20 feet from the corner of the Utah Lake Wetland Preserve. Even though the cache page does not refer to birds, it is a wetland preserve, a good place to see birds, and I saw some Canadian Geese flying nearby.

There was a ton of trash here. Went with Chili_Tepin and his boys, SirGerald, and Gone Postal. Gather several bags of trash at this cache and moved to Ky’s cache close by to help SirGerald fill his requirement. Photos are posted at the GC page.

Climbed the 1.5 miles to the cache. Took me a while to do it. From the parking area, it was .48 miles straight up the hill, the walk was 1.5 miles up and 1.5 miles back. Plus the side trip to get the bushwacked cache. It was quite the trip. Lots of folks on the trail.

Supposin’ the name say it all. This cache overlooks Yuba Lake formed by damning the Sevier River. I’m certain the ole hermit would have been usin’ the Sevier River as a navigational tool, being the longest river in Utah.

Wow…why did I go that way? I went to the “Y” to fulfill the ½ mile requirement, I could have continued up the trail, but I didn’t I bushwacked it up the face for .15 miles only to find the trail at the top. BunkerDave would have been proud.
