This was a pleasant walk of just over a mile round trip. It was also our 2200nd find. I left a coin suitable for a micro.

The cache is located at an old train depot which is very near railroad tracks that run west.

Cache description mentions hanging out with the ducks. There are many ducks at this location and even a nest of duck eggs nearby.

This cache is practically on the banks of a wide spot of Buffalo Bayou. I tried to throw a rock across, but it fell way too short.

I maintained this cache. I added 8 new yo-yos to the cache and checked the other waypoints. I also added better camouflage for the final waypoint.

There was a really nice gate to pass through to get to the cache.

The windmill that was near the cache was a windmill to fill jugs of purified water, so you can get lots of water to drink here.

This wasn’t really intended to be our twilight cache, but since it was a long multi, we started in the early evening, went into twilight, and ended in darkness. We saw the first stars come out and made a wish on the star for a Hermit’s Quest coin.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to avoid bushwacking on this cache. You have to squeeze through heavy bamboo to get to the cache and back. At least bamboo doesn’t have thorns.

Don’t be looking under the bridge for this cache because it’s not there, but it is very close to a bridge.

Surprisingly, there are some cow pastures near the city and this cache is near one of them.

When we revisited this TB Retreat, someone had cleared out the TBs in the cache, so when we added our 2 TBs there were now 2 TBs staying at the TB retreat.

This cache is not only a fishing hole for the locals in the area, but it’s also a very interesting area due to all of the abandoned boats sticking up in the middle of the pond.
