Registering to Play:
If you previously played any of our previous games then you can log in using your regular player name. If you are new to our games, the first time you sign in you will be asked for your demographic information and real name (This information is confidential and will not be published anywhere).
Starting The Game:
In the Modern Day Outlaw Game it is not necessary to start your game at the earliest possible time. You can start anytime and still have a shot at the top of the leader board. There are 16 outlaws to be rounded up. When you are ready you will pick an outlaw to chase and pick a vehicle to use in the chase. At the moment you pick the vehicle your timer will start running and you will be given a number of hours before you can log a cache that meets the requirements for that outlaw or for that vehicle. When the number of hours pass then you can log the cache and put the outlaw in jail. The moment you log the cache on our site your timer will stop and the actual time between picking the vehicle and logging the cache will be recorded. For example if the number of hours given for your outlaw was 18 and the time you logged the cache was 18 hours and 7 minutes, then you time for that outlaw will be 18 hours and 7 minutes.

The Games Objective:
Capture 16 wanted fugitives and bring them to justice. The way you capture these outlaws is to find and log a cache that meets the requirements for that particular outlaw. Each time you log a cache you will get a piece of a map. At the end of the game you must identify the place that is marked with a red X. This X marks the spot where the loot and the Glanvilles themselves are hidden. Landmarks names have been removed from the map and marked with petroglyph symbols. Somewhere in the case files you will need to find a way to decode those landmark names in order to find the name of the landmark at the red X.

Playing The Game:
We’ve added some interesting twists, making Quest 4 somewhat different from the previous games. In this new game, it is not necessary to be one of the first to start the game in order to get a top spot on the leader board. You can start several days or even weeks later and still work your way into the top spots.
There is more strategy involved in this game; instead of relying on luck alone, map research will play an important part and for those folks willing to do the research....a big advantage!!
There are two sets of requirements but only one requirement from each set needs to be completed. There are 16 requirements associated with the outlaws and are revealed up-front. An additional set of 16 requirements are associated with the locations where each outlaw is hiding, and will be revealed once you’ve committed to a chase.
There are also 16 vehicles of various types that you will pick to use in chasing down your outlaw. Each vehicle can only be used in one chase. Choosing the correct vehicle is another key component to a better score.....
To shake things up even more, players will have 2 chances during the game to earn a Fast Forward reward - reading case files about the robbery will provide the details, it won’t be an easy task!!
All requirements must be NEW logs, of caches you have not logged before. No pre-caching is allowed! All requirements must be logged on or after 12:00 pm (MDT) May 25th 2007 - Please visit HERE for a more detailed description of the 16 cache requirements. These caching requirements can be done in any order and you can find more than one per day, in fact you can find all 16 on the same day if you want to. But you can only log the caches as your game clock allows. Each time you log a cache requirement you will receive a piece of a Treasure Map, only you can see your Treasure map and you must be logged in to see it.
Logging a Cache Requirement:
Once you've completed a Cache Requirement, return here and log in. Click on 'Log a Cache' then click on the Icon that represents the cache you've completed. A screen will prompt you to enter the cache name - The GC number of the cache - and any comments you would like to share about your adventure, click submit - The first piece of your map will appear.
Game Participation Coin:
We have designed a beautiful coin for this Quest which will be “unveiled” sometime in June.
Guidelines and Rules:
This game is created for folks to have some fun, it's impossible for us to enforce hard-set rules and regulations. The guidelines we have set up are pretty clear and we hope players will respect these rules and log within the guidelines. Be warned that the Grand County Sheriff and Deputy Phiephe are out there and they may check to make sure your name is in the logbooks of the caches on the date you claim, and Deputy Phiephe is not someone you want to mess with!!
