Next game: don't allow caches published after the game start

The fourth in our series of gps adventure games. This one takes place in the canyon country around Moab Utah when a gang of outlaws steals a trailer loaded with gps receivers and other gadgets geocachers love. You will need to track down these 16 outlaws and recover the loot.

Moderators: Deputy Dawg, Grand County Sheriff

LOL actually I think the creative naming is great idea lighten up guys :) The aussie game that is running concurrently with this one has a few little twists after game start to allow more folk to play easily ( you have to know what gas costs here!) including points for hiding/finding new caches rather like the balloon race monthly extras if the deputy wants to check out the site.

I think it would help tremendously in game creation if you got a serious mathematician to help resolve the chances for a requirement being filled - for instance the chance of two specific letters actually being in the WP is as bad as a lottery ticket - probably worse when the cache concentration of an area is factored in. For a beta test randomly select a cacher who has found 300 caches and see whether you can achieve the requirement in a 50 mile radius by public transport :)

The profile for terminator sam for instance has obviously been much too narrowly written. After all the work that has gone into the excellent presentation and puzzles it would be a shame for the game to become so rulebound it is unplayable in the spirit of fun in which it was created.

I like the idea of a "Wild Card" where you have to place a cache that fits one of the requirements.

HI Mick :) yes - the RDMH game has that sort of 'wildcard' which is very useful and fun as it also stipulates a 20 litre or greater cache size!!!

Can anyone participate in this game? If so, what's the web site? :P
