Frequently Asked Questions For The World Explorer Game . . .

If the answer to your question is not found on this page then it may be answered in our Game Forums.

Here are a few of the questions that players have asked, there may be more and we are happy to answer all questions. You can also visit our forums where questions are asked and answered daily!

If we have registered and played some of the other Quests, then are we all set to start this Quest?
Yes that is correct. If you clicked the remember me option when you were playing the other games then you will already be logged in and you can just click Start Your Game and be on your way. If you didn't click remember me then you will just need to log in and be on your way. (Hope you remember your password. If not then email us and we'll send it to your registered email address.)

I'm worried about the codes and puzzles....I hate puzzle caches and can never figure them out...is this going to be fun or just frustration for me...HELP!!
Let us put your minds at ease - we have not made this game a 5-star experience - Some of the puzzles may be harder to solve than others, but most of the decoding is very basic, just like in the other games. It should be a fun game for all! To be honest, some of the more experienced puzzle code cracking folks will be a bit bored.....well, to begin with, that is.

If you're having trouble, there are always helpful players in the Game Forums that will give out helpful advice!!

Are there Fast Forwards in this game?
The answer to that question is a great big YES. In fact, every stage of the game has a fast forward. As you begin your journey in each region you will be given an enciphered message telling how to complete that stage. The Keyword to decipher the message will be given to you after one, two or three hours. If you can solve the message without the keyword then you have gotten yourself a fast forward. For the first three regions the keyword will be given after one hour. For regions four, five and six the keyword will be given after two hours and for the last three regions the keyword will be given after three hours.

How is this game different from previous Quests?
The biggest change is that there are no geocaching requirements. This entire game is just solving twelve enciphered messages to travel through different regions following well known explorers. In each region there will be a map that relates to the explorer and you will need to discover the correct spot to click in order to advance to the next region.
How do the map coordinates work?
Many of the maps use a grid system to identify a certain spot on the map. There will normally be morse code symbols down the side and pig pen symbols across the top. Always align the red section of the inner wheel with the letter A on the outer wheel. For example, suppose you decipher you message and it says "You need to click a spot at U-C". The first letter denotes the north south coordinate or latitude along the side. The second letter is the east west coordinate or longitude across the top of the map. So U-C would indicate the blue oval in the top left of the map. A-O denotes the purple oval in the lower right of the map. S-E is the green triangle. U-O is the yellow square and A-C is the orange diamond.

When will the game end?
This game like all of our games will continue indefinitey, to allow folks to play at their leisure.
