The
Pocket Decoder™ is a design that
encompasses three separate dies that fit together to make
an original and unique design. This design has gone through
many revisions and has been in the works since June 07.
Due to the complicated design and size this coin was manufactured
using the die casting method. Die casting is an efficient,
economical process for producing engineered metal parts
by forcing molten metal under high pressure into steel molds.
These molds, called dies, can be designed to produce complex
shapes with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability.
The coolest thing about The Pocket Decoder™ is that
the center wheel is interchangeable. During 2008 we will
release fun and exciting center wheel designs as well as
encourage folks to submit their own designs for wheels.
